During a portion of “The View,” Whoopi Goldberg approached an audience member and warned them not to do that again. As it happens, the audience member was purportedly using their phone to capture the performance.
Whoopi urged the audience member to put away their phone even though the show was on broadcast, potentially reaching millions of people.
In a way, Whoopi was correct—people frequently forget to live in the present moment because they are always pulling out their phones to document everything that happens. The viewer needs to forget that once the show airs, they can actually see it on television. On social media, they can view teasers for shows. There isn’t even ONE good reason for someone to film a live performance.
